CORVALLIS - The "Adventures in Learning" program will continue this summer at Oregon State University for some of Oregon's brightest young students, and applications are now being accepted.

This 10-day educational and social program is designed for talented, gifted and creative learners who have completed grades four through seven. It will be held July 8-19 and the deadline for applications is March 15.

Archaeology, astronomy, chemistry, computer programming, drama, illustration, photography and world cultures are all topics that have been explored in past courses through this program.

Students will attend academic classes for five hours a day, tour campus labs, and have various recreational opportunities open to them. The program is non-residential, although housing and meal options are available for students and their parents or guardians.

The registration fee for the program is $330, although some financial assistance programs are available. More detail about costs, registration, student eligibility and other information can be obtained by contacting Judy Michael, coordinator of the program at OSU, telephone (541) 737- 1289.
