"The Role of Higher Education in Supporting Economic Development"

This year's Century Club Annual Meeting will feature Tim Griffin, recently appointed Vice-Chancellor for Higher Education. His role according to Chancellor Cox "has expanded in order to emphasize the State System's growing commitment to strong partnerships with business in Oregon."

Traditionally, people don't see higher education as a strong player in workforce development.

Mr. Griffin will address current workforce issues and the connections business and higher education should have in Oregon.

How can we develop more formal strategies where business and higher education work together?

Location: Memorial Union Ballroom

    Shuttle Service from Parker Stadium
    will run between 11:30 and 11:45.
