CORVALLIS - "Women and the Law in the Middle East" is the topic for a Nov. 14 lecture at Oregon State University.

Laura Rice, an OSU associate professor of English, and Karim Hamdy, a consultant in development and academic and cultural exchange, will discuss the condition of women in Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco and Yemen, based on the outcome of a 1994 International Conference in Tunis.

The talk is part of Oregon State University's Women in International Development Seminar Series. The free, hour-long presentation is open to the public and scheduled at 12:30 p.m. in OSU's Snell Hall Room 448.
