CORVALLIS - Mark McCambridge has been named interim vice president for finance and administration at Oregon State University to manage daily operations in the university's business division.

McCambridge will take over responsibilities temporarily relinquished by Lee Schroeder, who recently was named OSU's interim athletic director.

"We're fortunate to be able to shift this responsibility to Mark McCambridge for a period of time," said OSU President Paul Risser. "Mark has had considerable experience in managing the university's business affairs, and has served in a similar capacity at other universities.

"The shift will enable Lee Schroeder to focus on directing the intercollegiate athletic program and the search for a permanent athletic director," Risser added.

McCambridge has served as director of business services at OSU since 1994. Before coming to Oregon State, he was executive director of the Cal Poly Pomona Foundation. His appointment to the interim position is effective immediately.
