CORVALLIS - Oregon State University will host a "Kaleidoscope of Colleges and Cultures" on Saturday, Jan. 17, to give college-bound minority students a chance to experience the academic and cultural atmosphere of the OSU campus.

All activities are free to prospective students.

Presentations will highlight the university's academic colleges and their diversity. Other sessions will include seminars focusing on financial aid, admission requirements and support services, as well as leadership and internship opportunities for students. Some sessions will be conducted in Spanish.

For counselors, teachers and chaperones, "Update OSU," will be presented at 11:30 a.m.

Panels featuring OSU student leaders will feature student perspectives of campus. OSU cultural organizations and events will be highlighted and there will be opportunities to learn from the experiences of OSU faculty and students of color.
