CORVALLIS - Kathleen Saadat, a prominent civil rights activist, will speak on the status of minority women in Oregon during a free public talk this Friday, March 14, at Oregon State University.

Saadat will speak at 2 p.m. in OSU's Memorial Union lounge.

A member of OSU's Board of Visitors for Minority Affairs, Saadat also received the university's Woman of Achievement Award in 1991. She is a member of the steering committee for Portland's Rainbow Coalition.

The OSU talk is part of a series of events at the university held in conjunction with Women's History Month. It is sponsored by numerous campus groups.
