CORVALLIS - Jon Hendricks, a professor of sociology at Oregon State University and director of OSU's University Honors College, has been selected as a Charter Fellow of the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.

Fellow status is an honor that recognizes "outstanding leadership in gerontology and-or geriatrics education, according to Derek Stepp, spokesperson for the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education.

Selection is based on achievement in teaching, scholarship and research in gerontology and geriatrics.
