Ulali features Pura Fe (Tuscarora), Soni Moreno (Apache-Mayan) and Jennifer Kreisberg (Tuscarora) blending mystical and sweeping sounds that evolve from traditional and contemporary indigenous music of the Americas.

The trio has appeared on the "Tonight Show with Jay Leno," and were featured entertainers at the nation's Washington, D.C. Fourth of July celebration and the opening ceremonies of the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.

Ulali focuses on native struggle and prophecies in a variety of native languages, turning their music into a form of personal and historic expression. Their harmonies are accompanied on a few of their songs by a variety of hand-crafted percussion instr uments.

Their video, "Follow Your Heart's Desire," won best music video at the American Indian Film Festival and has been aired on VH-1, CNN, MTV and PBS.

The trio agreed to perform at OSU in support of the university's Indian Education Office, which expands awareness of and responsiveness to the skills, knowledge and history in Indian cultures and values. Among the services the office offers to the comm unity are: recruiting and retaining American Indian students, faculty and staff; support and counseling on academic, career and personal issues; Indian scholarship information; and serving as a liaison between OSU and tribal communities.
