CORVALLIS - Scholarships totaling more than $63,000 have been awarded to students enrolled in Oregon State University's College of Agricultural Sciences through a program administered through the dean's office of the college.

Receiving the awards were:

ADRIAN

Manuel Michel, son of Manuel and Eladia Michel, a senior in agricultural business management. The graduate of Adrian Junior-Senior High School received a $750 award given by the Cenex Foundation.

ALBANY

Ryan Hayes, son of Clark and Cheryl Hayes, a senior in crop and soil science. The South Albany High School graduate received the $2,500 James H. Weatherspoon scholarship.

ALSEA

Rex King, a graduate of Alsea High School, is a senior in the bioresource research program. He received a $500 Jess Hanson scholarship.

AMITY

Justin Prine, son of Bill and Robin Prine, a junior in agricultural business management. The Wilson High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

Megan Prine, daughter of Bill and Robin Prine, a sophomore in crop and soil science. The Wilson High School graduate received the $1,500 Wayne and Joann Chambers scholarship.

APPLEGATE

Jennifer Lenhart Henning, daughter of Sue and Mike Lenhart, is a senior in animal sciences. The South Medford High School graduate received the $3,510 Culbertson Memorial scholarship.

ASTORIA

Janae Cruikshank , daughter of Dennis and Sandy Burley, is a freshman in agricultural business management. The Knappa High School graduate received the $500 H.H. Gibson Memorial scholarship.

BEAVERTON p>Wes Deuel is a senior majoring in horticulture. The Grant Union High School graduate received the $500 scholarship given by the Yamhill and Washington County Women for Agriculture.

BEND

Elisa Hall, daughter of Kenneth and Jennifer Hall, is a sophomore in animal sciences. The Bend High School graduate received a $750 Ursula Bolt Knaus scholarship.

BROWNSVILLE

Austin Sayer, son of Ken and Becky Sayer, is a junior majoring in crop and soil science. The Sweet Home High School graduate received the $500 Alpha Gamma Rho Foundation scholarship.

CANBY

Phil Hansen, son of Lloyd and Cindy Hansen, is a senior majoring in animal sciences. The Molalla High School graduate received the $1,250 Earl Meier Dairy Science Memorial scholarship.

CORVALLIS

Jody Hansen, daughter of Jeff and Paula Hansen, is a junior in horticulture. The Corvallis High School graduate received the $1,500 Jess Hanson scholarship.

Wenona Phillips, daughter of Samuel and Cheryl Phillips, is a sophomore in animal sciences. The Crescent Valley graduate received the $1,000 Jess Hanson scholarship.

Nathan Reinhard, son of Robert and Carol Reinhard, is a junior in animal sciences. The Crescent Valley graduate received a $1,500 Jess Hanson scholarship.

Jammie Wutzke, daughter of Fred and Jan Wutzke, is a senior in agricultural business management. The Corvallis High School graduate received a $1,000 Jess Hanson scholarship.

COTTAGE GROVE

Melissa Simonsen, daughter of Darrell and Marolyn Simonsen, is a senior in crop and soil science. The Cottage Grove High School graduate received the $3,510 Don Burlingham Memorial scholarship.

COVE

Elizabeth Coleman, daughter of David and Cathy Coleman, is a junior in agricultural and resource economics. Coleman, who was home-schooled before enrolling at OSU, received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

ECHO

Jared Piercy, son of Lloyd Piercy, is a senior in crop and soil science. The Hermiston High School graduate received the $2,500 James H. Weatherspoon scholarship.

GRESHAM

Kameyo Johnson, son of Joe and Carolyn Johnson, is a junior in fisheries science. The Gresham High School graduate received a $750 Ursula Bolt Knaus scholarship.

HILLSBORO

Douglas Peterson, son of John and Connie Peterson, is a senior in agricultural and resource economics. The Glencoe High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

HOOD RIVER

Amy Krahn, daughter of Don and Cindy Poole, is a senior in animal sciences. The Hood River Valley High School graduate received the $1,000 E.R. Jackman Foundation Enrichment scholarship and the $3,510 Charles E. and Clara Marie Eckelman Memorial scholarship.

JOSEPH

Seth Botts, son of Rod and Linda Botts, is a freshman in animal sciences. The Joseph High School graduate received the $500 Thornton FFA scholarship and the $500 H.H. Gibson Memorial scholarship.

MADRAS

James Roff, son of Loren and Vicky Roff, is a freshman studying crop and soil science. The Madras High School graduate received the $1,500 Malcolm Johnson scholarship.

MEDFORD

Michelle Zipperman, daughter of Keith and Joanne Ward, is a junior enrolled in the bioresource research program. The North Medford High School graduate received a $3,510 Culbertson Memorial scholarship.

MILTON-FREEWATER

Amy LeFore, daughter of Ron and Dona LeFore, is a junior in agricultural and resource economics. The McLoughlin High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

MITCHELL

Jessica Carroll, daughter of Michael and Susan Carroll, is a freshman studying animal sciences. The Mitchell High School graduate received the $750 Walter J. and Florence J. Jaeger Undergraduate Scholarship.

MONROE

Terry Ross, son of Helen Cleveland, is a sophomore majoring in crop and soil science. The Monroe High School graduate received the $1,000 Jess Hanson scholarship.

PHILOMATH

Kristin Brandenburg, daughter of Tim and Jane Brandenburg, is a senior majoring in agricultural business management. The Philomath High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

PORTLAND

Kim Danboise, son of Mae and Thomas Danboise, is a senior in horticulture. Danboise, who graduated from Massena High School in New York, received the $3,000 Don Burlingham Memorial scholarship.

Michael Dieker, son of Ralph and Jeannette Dieker, is a senior in fisheries science. The Beaverton High School graduate received the $250 award given by Friends of Oregon Agriculture.

Shane Brown, son of Mike Brown and Cathy Brock, is a senior majoring in animal sciences. The Crook County High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

SILVERTON

Duane Ditchen, son of David and Wilma Ditchen, is a junior majoring in crop and soil science. The Salem Academy graduate received the $400 Harry and Dorothy Schoth Memorial scholarship.

Elizabeth Howard, daughter of Nancy and Glenn Barker, is a senior majoring in agricultural and resource economics. The Silverton High School graduate received the $1,000 E.R. Jackman Enrichment scholarship.

Rebecca Looney, daughter of Doug and Nancy Fisher, is a senior majoring in agricultural and resource economics. The Silverton High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

Corey Maag, son of Douglas and Terrie Maag, is a senior in the OSU agriculture program at Eastern Oregon University. The Vale High School graduate received a $750 Cenex Foundation scholarship.

Nathaniel Couture, son of Robert and Bonnie Couture, is a junior majoring in food science and technology. The Sandy High School graduate received the $1,700 Donald Welp Memorial scholarship.

Roberta Crill, a graduate student in animal sciences, came to OSU from the University of Idaho. The graduate of Vallivue High School is the daughter of Kent and Betty White. She received a $500 Friends of Oregon Agriculture scholarship.

Koby Kitchel, daughter of Phil and Diane Kitchel, is a senior majoring in animal sciences. The Forks High School graduate received the $500 Doris Mardis Tibbetts Memorial scholarship.

Zoe Tokar, daughter of John Tokar, is a senior in animal sciences. The Vashon Island High School graduate received the $400 Ben and Ethel Pubols scholarship.
