CORVALLIS - The 10th annual James Vomocil Water Quality Conference at Oregon State University, scheduled Oct. 29 in LaSells Stewart Center, will focus on Oregon's environment.

Under the theme, "Oregon's Environmental Programs - Integrating for Implementation," the conference will focus on the goals, tools and outcomes of the many programs focused on protecting or improving Oregon's environment, according to Jim Moore, head of the Department of Bioresource Engineering at OSU.

Session themes include engineering impacts on hydrology, forestry and watershed stewardship education programs and successful watershed implementation.

A featured speaker will be OSU faculty member and state climatologist George Taylor, who will speak about El Nino.
