CORVALLIS - The fifth annual Pacific Northwest Public Policy Institute will be held on the Reed College campus on Aug. 12-14.

The institute, sponsored by Oregon State University's Extension Service and Portland Community College, will offer training sessions in moderation, convening and issue framing, and the opportunity to practice those skills.

A Moderator Training Workshop will be held Thursday and Friday, Aug. 12-13, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. An Issues Framing Workshop will run Saturday, Aug. 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The registration fee for the Moderator Training Workshop is $195, which includes instructional materials, lunch and dinner on Thursday and lunch on Friday. Fee for the Issues Framing Workshop is $95, which includes instructional materials and lunch on Saturday.

High school and college students may apply for reduced fees. Housing on the Reed College campus is available. Participants can receive academic credit from Portland Community College for an additional $10.
