CORVALLIS - Latin dance, music and food will be featured at Oregon State University's Latin Carnival, scheduled on Saturday, Feb. 27.

The evening starts at 5 p.m. in OSU's Memorial Union Ballroom with dinner and performances by a variety of OSU student groups. Dance-only tickets are $5.

"Dinner will be with traditional Latin food. Live music will be performed during dinner by Marimba de Sol," and there will be entertainment by students dancers, said Monica Rojas, one of the event organizers.

Dance band Expresion Latina is based in Tacoma, Wash., and has 13 members. The group focuses on salsa music, but also performs meringue, cha-cha, and cumbias tunes.
