CORVALLIS - Oregon State University will hold a hearing on Wednesday, Feb. 3, to receive public input on a proposed change in administrative rules that would amend the university's guidelines on weapons allowed on campus

The hearing will begin at noon in Memorial Union Room 105.

The proposed amendment would reword, in clearer language, the current prohibition on concealed weapons on campus, even if carried with a license. It also would modify a section of the current rule on "designated storage areas" to include ROTC, the OSU pistol club and the OSU rifle club.

The amendment also exempts family housing from the weapons rule.
