CORVALLIS - The College of Veterinary Medicine at Oregon State University recently presented a number of awards and scholarships to its students, staff and faculty.

The 62 combined scholarships and awards totaled nearly $133,000, and many of the scholarship donors were on hand to present scholarships to chosen recipients.

Ryan DeVoe of Keizer, Ore., received the E.E. Wedman Outstanding Senior Award, one of the most prestigious of the honors presented.

Susan Tornquist, an assistant professor of veterinary medicine, received the Carl J. Norden Distinguished Teacher Award that recognizes excellence in teaching. Tornquist received her doctorate from Washington State University in 1996 and has been on the OSU faculty since that time.

Outstanding Staff Awards were made to Karren Martinak and Mehmet Kupeli. Other awards and scholarships included:
