CORVALLIS - Oregon State University is hosting a college planning meeting for students and their parents with admissions staff from the Oregon University System on Thursday, Oct. 21.

Students from Alsea, Central Linn, Monroe, Philomath, Santiam and Santiam Christian high schools are being invited to attend the meeting, which begins at 9:30 a.m. in OSU's LaSells Stewart Center.

The program will feature individual campus information sessions with representatives from OSU, as well as Eastern Oregon University, Oregon Institute of Technology, Portland State University, Southern Oregon University, University of Oregon and Western Oregon University.

Students will receive first-hand information about academic programs, career opportunities, admission requirements, student support services, housing, college costs, financial aid and scholarships and other elements important to post-high school planning.

For information, contact OSU Admission and Orientation at 541-737-2626 or 800-291-4192.

The OUS high school visitation program reaches almost all public and private high schools in Oregon. The programs goal is to stimulate sound post-high school planning and decision-making by students and to provide them with an introduction to the education and career opportunities available through Oregon's public universities.
