CORVALLIS - Three Oregon State University faculty members have received Fulbright scholar grants to study, teach or conduct research abroad during the 1999-2000 academic year.

Jonathan Katz, associate professor of history; Robert Lackey, professor of fisheries science; and Robert Dziak, assistant professor at the Hatfield Marine Science Center have been awarded Fulbright grants for this year.

Katz is at the Mohammad V University in Morocco, where he will remain until June. During his six-month stay he will study the Moroccans and the French after Mauchamp.

Lackey also has begun his Fulbright studies. He is lecturing and conducting research on improving the value of scientific information in ecological policy analysis. Lackey will be at the University of Northern British Columbia in Canada through July.

Dziak is conducting research on the evidence of recently active faults near Budapest, Hungary. He recently left for Budapest, where he will study at the Hungarian Academy of Sciences through July.
