CORVALLIS - The bachelor's degree program in the Department of Forest Products at Oregon State University was recently re-accredited by the Society of Wood Science and Technology.

The re-accreditation took place following site visits by this group and the Society of American Foresters.

"The faculty provides high quality instruction in all the programs being considered," the report said. "This was reinforced in discussions with students, who praised the quality of instruction throughout the College of Forestry. At the same time, the research productivity is extremely high."

The college also maintains the most extensive forestry, forest engineering, and wood products extension programs in the nation, the report said, which are widely acclaimed.
