CORVALLIS - The Oregon State University Jazz Ensemble will present a concert of big band jazz on Sunday, March 3 in Ballroom C of the CH2M-HILL Alumni Center on the OSU campus. The concert begins at 7:30 p.m.

The concert will feature a variety of jazz styles and include selections "Party Hearty," recorded by Bob Florence and the Limited Edition; "4-5-6" and "Wind Machine," recorded by the Count Basie Orchestra; and "Fly Me to the Moon," as performed by the Tom Kubis Big Band.

Tenor saxophonist Matt Urabe will be featured on "Blue and Sentimental" and the trombone section will be featured on Bob Curnow's "Bon Appétit." The OSU Jazz Ensemble is directed by David Hoffman.

Other soloists include Devin Brice on drums, Miles Thompson and Erik Nelson on trumpet, Mike "Slide" Buehler on trombone and Misha Mayers on alto saxophone.
