CORVALLIS - Oregon State University is hosting its annual two-day American Red Cross Summer Blood Drive on July 23-24.

Donation hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day and appointments are required. For information, call 541-924-0227.

Donors must be 17 or older, weigh at least 105 pounds and be in good health.

American Red Cross Pacific Northwest Regional Blood Services is the sole supplier of blood and blood products to more than 80 hospitals in Oregon, Washington and Southeast Alaska. The region is the 10th largest of 36 American Red Cross blood regions. To meet patient needs, the region must collect at least 5,000 pints of blood each week.
