CORVALLIS - "Adding Value to Oregon Agriculture" is the theme of the Oregon State University Food Science and Technology Department's annual Research Day, scheduled Sept. 25 at Wiegand Hall on the OSU campus. The program is open to the public.

The day-long program will feature reports of ongoing research and opportunities for discussions with faculty, according to Robert McGorrin, head of the OSU Food Science and Technology Department.

The program will begin at 9 a.m. with a series of sessions on research in several areas including food safety, fruit, vegetables and grains, dairy, enology, brewing, flavor chemistry, seafood, high pressure technology and food packaging.
