CORVALLIS - Kathleen Saadat, a Portland-area civil-rights activist, will discuss disclosing sexual preference in a talk that begins at noon on Monday, Oct. 11 in the Oregon State University Memorial Union main lounge.

"Coming Out," which is sponsored by the OSU Pride Center, is free and open to the public.

Saadat has served on the OSU Board of Visitors for Minority Affairs and has received the university's Woman of Achievement Award. She has worked with the Rainbow Coalition and African Americans for Human Rights in Portland.
