CORVALLIS - Oregon State University will hold a pair of open forums this Wednesday, Jan. 26, to present findings from a Campus Climate Assessment, and to hear input from students, staff, faculty and others about the campus environment.

The forums, which are open to the public, will be held at 4 and 7 p.m. in the Memorial Union's Joyce Powell Leadership Center.

The report was commissioned by a variety of campus groups interested in an honest assessment of the university's environment, said Beth Rietveld, director of the Women's Center. The study was coordinated by the OSU's Faculty Senate's Diversity Council, and conducted by Rankin & Associates, a well-known consulting firm.

Results of the study will inform the creation of a new university-wide diversity action strategic plan, which will be coordinated by Terryl Ross, OSU's first director of Community and Diversity.

The final report will be available online after Jan. 26 at http://oregonstate.edu/president.
