CORVALLIS, Ore. - The College of Engineering at Oregon State University recently recognized and honored its most exemplary faculty, staff and students for their work during the past year.

"Building an engineering college here at Oregon State that delivers the impact of a top-25 program is all about having exceptional people working together as part of the same team," said Ron Adam, dean of engineering at OSU. "I'm very proud of these men and woman and the expertise and innovation they bring to our growing program."

Awardees included:

  • Hannah Tuinstra, student in chemical engineering, the Burgess/Tektronix Award;
  • Yuming Qiu, graduate student in mechanical engineering, and Tim Reinholt, graduate student in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Graduate Teaching Assistant Award;
  • Robin Abraham, graduate student in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Graduate Research Assistant Award;
  • Karen Kelly, Department of Chemical Engineering, the Classified Employee Award;
  • Sandy Jameson, Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, the Professional Faculty Award;
  • Goran Jovanovic, professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, and the late Alan Wallace, professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Alumni Professor Award;
  • Gregory Rorrer, professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering, the Research Award;
  • Gregory Baker, professor in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering, the Austin-Paul Award;
  • Jay Kruzic, professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Engelbrecht Young Faculty Award;
  • Dan Cox, professor in the Department of Civil, Construction and Environmental Engineering; the Research Collaboration Award;
  • Roger Traylor, professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, the Loyd Carter Award.
