PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon State University’s Austin Family Business Program will hold a program for family businesses called "From Vision to Action: Strategic Planning," on Wednesday, Jan. 30, near Portland.

The event will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Aerie at Eagle Landing Golf Club, 20220 S.E. Causey Ave. in Happy Valley.

The day-long program includes a luncheon keynote address from Dave DeLap of White, Caldwell and Croy, LLP titled, “75 Years and Counting: How Strategic Planning Improves the Long Term Success of Your Business.”

Donald Neubaum, assistant professor of management in the College of Business at OSU, will present a program on how to develop and implement financially viable strategies. Neubaum will give business owners a step-by-step approach to developing a plan that will sustain business value.

There also will be a panel discussion on the topic, “Overcoming Barriers to Effective Strategic Planning.” The panelists include Edith Dorsen, principal of Insights, LLC; Tim Bergler, founder of Percipio Consulting Group, Inc.; and Robin Klemm, interim executive director, Austin Family Business Program.
