CORVALLIS, Ore. – Benjamin “Benji” Lewis, a Marine Corps veteran who served two combat tours in Iraq, will speak at Oregon State University on Tuesday, May 5, about his refusal to accept involuntary activation and redeployment.

The talk begins at noon in Strand Agricultural Hall Room 132 and is free and open to the public. It is sponsored by the OSU Peace Studies Program.

Lewis’s appearance on campus is part of a statewide speaking tour to describe his experiences in Iraq, including the first siege in Fallujah, and how he can to consider the war illegal and immoral. Co-sponsoring his visit is a chapter of Veterans for Peace.
