CORVALLIS - William F. Schulz, the executive director of Amnesty International USA, will give a free public lecture on Wednesday, April 13, at Oregon State University.

His talk, "Tainted Legacy: 9-11 and the Ruin of Human Rights," begins at 7:30 p.m. at LaSells Stewart Center. It is sponsored by the OSU student group, the Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry. For information, e-mail [email protected].

Schulz is a former president of the Unitarian Universalist Association. His talk explores balancing security with human rights issues in an age of terrorism.

"As Dr. Schulz is a very well-known and highly respected guest, we expect that many people on campus, in Corvallis, and elsewhere in Oregon would be interested in hearing his views," said Jacob Tennessen, who is coordinating the event for the Unitarian Universalist Campus Ministry.
