CORVALLIS, Ore. - Molly Engle, an evaluation specialist with the Oregon State University Extension Service, received the 2009 Robert Ingle Service Award from the American Evaluation Association in November.

The award recognizes members who have strongly promoted the interests and operations of evaluation, which involves assessing the strengths and weaknesses of programs, policies, personnel, products and organizations to improve their effectiveness.

Engle has more than 25 years of evaluation experience and earned her doctorate in program evaluation from the University of Arizona. She served as president of the AEA in 2002, was associate editor of the publication, Evaluation Practice, from 1993-95 and is a charter member of the organization. She has been at OSU since 1998.
