CORVALLIS, Ore. - A team of Oregon State University students from the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity is running a relay from Reser Stadium in Corvallis to Autzen Stadium in Eugene on Sunday (Nov. 29) to raise money for the Lance Armstrong Foundation.

Called The Oregon Cure Relay, the event precedes the Civil War football game that will be played on Thursday, Dec. 3, at the University of Oregon - with the winner going to the Rose Bowl.

Running the relay will be members and pledges of the Kappa Omicron chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, who will carry a football for a one-mile leg, before passing it on to another runner.

Fraternity members are seeking donations that will be turned over to the Lance Armstrong Foundation, a Texas-based charity established by world champion cyclist Lance Armstrong to support persons with cancer.
