CORVALLIS, Ore. - Hathai Sangsupan and Arthur Bass of Oregon State University have been awarded Fulbright Student Program scholarships.

Sangsupan, a graduate student in forest science, will travel to Thailand to study ecology and environmental issues. She currently lives in Corvallis with her family. Bass, a graduate student in fisheries studies, will travel to Norway to study biology. He is from Audubon, Penn.

The two OSU students are among more than 1,500 United States citizens who will travel abroad for the 2010-11 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The program is a flagship international education initiative sponsored by the U.S. government and designed to increase mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries.
