CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Oregon State University Robotics Club will demonstrate its Mars Rover on Saturday, May 15, in a rehearsal for the University Rover Challenge 2010.

The mock competition will be in the covered picnic area at Adair County Park north of Corvallis from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., and is free and open to the public. The park is on Northeast Arnold Avenue in Adair Village, about eight miles north of Corvallis on Oregon Highway 99W.

The small, six-wheeled robot will perform various tasks, such as servicing equipment, doing a remote survey of a site, delivering an emergency supply container to a "distressed astronaut," and taking biological samples.
