CORVALLIS, Ore. - Hundreds of mothers of Oregon State University students will arrive on campus this weekend, where a busy weekend of activities, shopping, sports and entertainment await as part of the annual Moms Weekend celebration.

Coordinated by the Memorial Union Program Council, Moms Weekend has a little something for everyone. Popular events each year include the Showcase of OSU on Saturday in the MU quad, with its crafts, artwork and food booths; the All-University Sing on Friday night; and a comedy show and concert Saturday evening.

OSU moms will also have an opportunity to participate in other events, including the College of Veterinary Medicine's Pet Day and the annual spring scrimmage by the OSU football team - both on Saturday - and the International Students of OSU Spring Festival on Sunday.

There are literally dozens of events from which to choose during the weekend, from Mom-and-I photos, a brunch and a fashion show, to rafting trips, wine tasting and a pistol shoot.

Numerous tours are scheduled, including at OSU's internationally recognized tsunami wave basin, as well as the campus' nuclear reactor.
