CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University's Department of Human Design and Environment is holding a career symposium on Thursday, Feb. 3 from 8:30 am to 12:15 p.m.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the symposium will be held at the CH2M Hill Alumni Center, 725 S.W. 26th St., Corvallis. Admission is free and open to the public.

The DHE Career Symposium, now in its 25th year, is oriented around learning about the professions of apparel design, interior design, graphic design, housing, and merchandising management.

Representatives from the following companies/institutions will be at the symposium:

Aeropostale, AIGA Oregon Election Fellow, Buckle, Clearform, Columbia Sportswear, Corvallis Knights Baseball, Caffelli, Dal tile products, DC Fine Homes, Environments, Ethan Allen, Fred Meyer, IE3 Global Internships, Linn Benton Housing Authority, Leanna NYC, Linn County General Services,  Macy's West, Madison Collective, Myhre Group Architects, Neil Kelly,  Nike, Nordstrom, Opsis Architecture, OSU Facilities, Parliament, Pendleton Woolen Mills, Pinball Publishing, Sahalie and Target.

At 9 a.m., participants will learn about "Paving Your Career Path." Then at 10 a.m., there will be sessions on internship programs, executive training and an opportunity for attendees to have their portfolios reviewed. At 11:30 a.m., a panel of recent graduates from the design program will speak and give tips on how to successfully land a job in the industry.
