CORVALLIS, Ore. - Oregon State University will hold a rulemaking hearing on Friday, May 25, to receive public input on several proposed rule changes.

Among the proposals is the annual setting of fees and charges for services during fiscal year 2012-13. A list of these fees and charges may be viewed in the Valley Library on the OSU campus under call number PERM 006.

OSU also will take public comment on changes to the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics' substance use and drug testing rule, which is being updated to reflect current best practices in testing protocols and procedures.

Another proposed rule change governs the use of motor vehicles on campus. The proposed change defines the use of mopeds and non-motorized scooters on campus, and suggests providing free three-hour parking permits for disabled campus visitors.

Copies of the rules and the proposed changes to them are available from Beth Giddens at [email protected].  The hearing will begin at 1 p.m. in Memorial Union Room 206.  It is open to the public.
