UPDATED SPECIAL WEATHER ADVISORY

Oregon State University Corvallis campus announces

delayed opening on Tuesday, Dec. 10; change in early/late finals

Due to the possibility of additional snowfall Monday night and Tuesday morning - and continued sub-freezing temperatures - Oregon State University's Corvallis campus will delay reopening on Tuesday, Dec. 10, until 9 a.m.

The Valley Library will reopen at that time as well.

OSU closed at noon on Friday after a storm dumped nearly a foot of snow on Corvallis, and remained closed on Monday because of temperatures dipping into single digits.

Steve Clark, vice president for University Relations and Marketing at OSU, said:

"We have made this decision as we continue to place the safety of all concerned as our top priority."

Given this latest decision, final exams scheduled to be held at 7:30 a.m. and at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 10, will be rescheduled to a date later this week. The new times for these rescheduled finals will be posted online at http://oregonstate.edu/registrar/ after 7 p.m. Monday.

A team of Oregon State administrators will continue to meet daily to plan and address these weather-related issues. The university's home page website and the registrar's website will be updated with any other changes that may occur due to unforeseen weather-related circumstances.

Oregon State University's campus in Bend will open as usual on Tuesday.
