CORVALLIS, Ore. – A national education group is honoring the Oregon State University College of Engineering for its work in recruiting and supporting women and underrepresented minorities within the college.

Higher education leader Pamela Eddy will speak on developing community college leaders who promote social justice at the Oregon State University College of Education’s annual Charles E. Carpenter lecture Feb. 23.

Oregon State University’s Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies program turns 50 this year, and a week of activities is planned for Jan. 23-29 to celebrate the anniversary and to learn about the program’s history and future from alumni, faculty, guest scholars and current students.
