Oregon State University has been observing Veterans Day (Nov. 11) as an official holiday since 2015, with a military-connected community of more than 2,000 students, as well as employees with military backgrounds.
The university offers a range of programs through Military & Veteran Resources, including the Holcomb Center, which is home to OSU’s military-connected community, as well as programs including the Beaver Employee Association for Veteran Success (BEAVS).
The following is a list of events commemorating Veterans Day for 2025:
Monday Nov. 10
Beaver Veteran Employee Breakfast, 9-11 a.m., MU Room 109.
USMC 250th Birthday Celebration, 10:30 a.m., Snell Hall 150.
Wednesday Nov. 12:
Veterans Day Lunch and Holcomb Center open house: Free tacos. 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Snell Hall 150.
Celebration of LGBTQ+ Veterans: Free food: 5-7 p.m., Pride Center.
Thursday Nov. 13:
Suicide Prevention Workshop: Training for all, free firearm safes for veterans.
10 a.m.-noon, Snell Hall 150.
Welcome Waggers: noon to 1 p.m., Snell Hall 150.
Friday Nov. 14
Veterans Day Celebration: Obstacle course, free food, meet and greet with student veterans, 11 a.m.-2 p.m., SEC Plaza.
Additionally, the student Veterans Association at OSU is organizing a food drive to benefit students, and community members affected by SNAP cuts, and VA chapter 35 students affected by later education payments from the federal government. The association is accepting donations directly in Snell Hall 150 as well as the Kelly Engineering Center main office, Weniger Hall; Dixon Recreation Center, Johnson Hall, the MU main office, LPSC Room 242, Gilbert Hall Room 124 and Strand Agriculture Hall.
