CORVALLIS - A banquet will be held Saturday, May 17, to recognize the career and accomplishments of a leading engineering educator in Oregon.

Donald Amort, an associate professor of electrical and computer engineering at Oregon State University, recently retired after 38 years on the OSU faculty. An expert in communications, electronic circuits and electronic instrumentation, Amort taught and advised thousands of engineering students, and three times was selected for the college's top award in teaching.
