CORVALLIS, Ore. – The annual Student Design Exhibition and Fashion Show at Oregon State University will take place at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at OSU’s CH2M-Hill Alumni Center. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

The event is celebrating the centennial anniversary of design at OSU with the theme, “A Century of Design: Celebrating 100 years of the Design and Human Environment Departments.” This is the fourth year of the fashion show, which is organized by students in the Department of Design and Human Environment in the College of Health and Human Sciences.

Students majoring in apparel design, interior design, housing studies and merchandising management will showcase their work at the show.

The design exhibition and fashion show was organized by students in a course taught by Marianne Egan during winter and spring terms. The students learned to produce a show by writing a proposal for funding, training students to model for the show, promoting the event among student designers, planning the runway and publicizing the event.

More than 40 OSU students will be involved with assisting the organizers in putting together the fashion show and exhibit.

Attendees are asked to dress in formal attire.

The fashion show is free and open to the public.
