PORTLAND Ore. - The first Oregon CEO Summit, which will include business leaders discussing success and leadership in difficult economic times, will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday, May 6, at the Governor Hotel in Portland.

The event begins at noon with a lunch and keynote address by Roger Hinshaw, president of Bank of America Oregon and Southwest Washington, followed by two panel discussions. Registration for the summit is $50, which includes lunch. The Governor Hotel is located at 614 S.W. 11th Ave., Portland.

The panel discussions will feature enterprising business people in the financial, renewable energy, manufacturing, apparel, and nonprofit sectors.

The first panel is titled, "Vision and Strategy: Keys to Surviving and Moving Forward in a Challenging Economy." Panelists will discuss innovative strategies to minimize risk and maximize return during harsh economic conditions. The panelists are:
