Soundbox 2019: Soundbox 2019: in the OSU Woodshop Projects is hosting student, faculty, alumni and guests sound, video and performance works. The event is the second at OSU which was started by former MAIS graduate student Michael Gamble. NEW! Call to Artists: The Giustina Gallery at The LaSells Stewart Center is hosting the 14th Annual Community Art Exhibit. Leadership Collaborative Course - Managers as Leaders: Applications for LC: Managers as Leaders are now being accepted. Managers as Leaders is a skill-building course for managers and supervisors. Oregon Sea Grant Natural Resource Policy Fellowship: This fellowship matches graduate student fellows with an agency or nonprofit in Oregon for one year to give the student first-hand experience in natural resource policy related to marine and coastal issues at the state level. Applications are due July 12.

Oregon Sea Grant Robert E. Malouf Marine Studies Scholarship: This fellowship provides one year of support to current graduate students who combine socially relevant research with education or public engagement. Applications are due July 26.

Abstract deadline extended: Submit an abstract for poster presentation at the Linus Pauling Institute Conference and SfRBM Regional Symposium by June 15 and be considered for one of six Young Investigators Awards including a $500 prize and SfRBM membership. Early conference registration ends on June 15. Register now to reserve a seat at the conference dinner at the Vue and public lecture with Nobel laureate Louis Ignarro, Friday, Aug. 16.

Traffic & Maintenance 

Scheduled: Campus Wide Steam Shutdown: Each year Facilities Services performs necessary maintenance on the university’s steam system, which requires shutting off the steam throughout campus, to complete maintenance services at the plant, throughout the steam tunnels and in each building. This process affects hot water supply, heating, and all equipment that uses steam, campus wide. The steam shutdown for 2019 will occur from 6 p.m. on June 16 to 5 p.m. on June 20.
