CORVALLIS, Ore. – Auditions for Oregon State University Theatre’s winter production, “Expedition of Whispers,” will be held at 6 p.m. Dec. 1 and 4 p.m. Dec. 2 in the Withycombe Lab Theatre, 2901 SW Campus Way, Corvallis.

“Expedition of Whispers” is an original play by OSU student Nate Pereira. Five explorers search for a legendary artifact buried deep within an ancient temple. After the treasure hunters are trapped together following a cave-in, a series of revelations and betrayals leads them to discover the artifact’s true power.

Auditions are open to all OSU students, staff, faculty and members of the community. Those auditioning should be prepared for cold readings. Scripts will be available for check-out in Withycombe 145. Auditioners should also bring their schedules to the audition.

Available roles are Hadrian Radley, professor and curator of a history museum; Talia Macon, a combat-trained ex-mercenary and demolitions expert; Sam Shaw, a biologist with extensive medical knowledge; Paige Wallace, an archeologist; and Fiona Langley, an anthropologist fluent in ancient languages.

Performance dates are Feb. 13-16 with technical and dress rehearsals Feb. 8-12. All performers must be available for all technical rehearsals and performances. Rehearsals will begin Jan. 6 and generally run from noon to 6 p.m. Sundays and 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday. A cast read-through and meeting will be held Dec. 7.
