CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Music à la Carte concert series opens its spring season at noon Friday, April 5, with the Ryan Biesack Trio, featuring drummer Ryan Biesack, bassist Tyler Abbott and guitarist Olem Alves in the Memorial Union Lounge on the Corvallis campus.

The spring series continues through May 24, featuring an array of performers and composers:

  • April 12: Classical guitarist Cameron O’Connor
  • April 19: Nathan Boal, saxophone; Grace Choi, piano
  • April 26: Kathryn Louderback, composer and pianist
  • May 3: Flutist Abigail Sperling and friends
  • May 10: OSU Horn Choir and OSU Trumpet Ensemble
  • May 17: OSU Chamber Strings and OSU Chamber Orchestra
  • May 24: OSU Campus Band (outdoor concert at SEC plaza)

All Music à la Carte performances are held at noon Fridays in the OSU Memorial Union Lounge, 2501 SW Jefferson Way. The performances are free and open to the public. Weather permitting, the May 24 campus band concert will be held outdoors at the OSU Student Experience Center plaza.

Music à la Carte concerts have been a tradition at OSU since 1969. The informal, 45-minute concerts showcase a wide variety of musicians and performance ensembles, from local, regional and national performers to students and faculty from the OSU music program.

Hourly parking is available a short distance from the Memorial Union at Reser Stadium, 606 SW 26th St. The Beaver Bus, a free shuttle on the OSU campus, services the lot approximately every 15 minutes.
