CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University’s Ballroom Dance company, Cool Shoes, will perform its annual spring show, “Swingin’ Out,” at 7:30 p.m. May 18 and May 19 at Corvallis High School, 1400 NW Buchanan Ave.

The show will include 19 numbers in a variety of ballroom styles, including American swing dance, American country western dance and traditional ballroom.

The performance is the last for Director Cathy Dark, who is retiring after more than 20 years leading the group. The company includes 24 members ranging in age from 18 to 27; their school majors include engineering, kinesiology and others.

Cool Shoes is sponsored by the College of Public Health and Human Sciences’ Physical Activity Course program.

Tickets are $10 for general admission or $8 for student and seniors. They can be purchased at the door or in advance in Langton Hall Room 123 on the OSU campus or from any company member. For additional information, contact Dark at 541-737-5929.
