CORVALLIS, Ore. – Oregon State University Theatre will present “The Little Prince” in March in the Withycombe Hall Lab Theatre on the Oregon State University campus in Corvallis.

The family-friendly adaptation of the tale by Antoine de Saint-Exupery and adapted for the stage by Rick Cummins and John Scoullar, will run at 7:30 p.m. March 1 and March 8 and at 2 p.m. March 2-3 and March 9-10

In “The Little Prince,” unlikely friendship blooms between a stranded pilot and a mysterious Little Prince visiting Earth from a distant and magical planet. Director Jen Waters, an alumna of the OSU theatre program, has added a twist to the familiar story by setting the characters and music amidst the sparkle and glam-rock aesthetic of the 1970s.

“‘The Little Prince’ is such a strange and wonderful story about the transition from childhood to adulthood, that is often masked in whimsy,” Waters said. “My cast and crew and I want to show a new version.”

The cast includes OSU students Leah Kahn as the Little Prince and Adam Keenan as The Aviator. The ensemble includes Molly Duddleson, Joshua Gasaway, Genesis Hansen, Emily Jackson, Emily Moehn, Nicole Moussa, Taylor Stageberg, Amy Stein and Alex “Kiwi” Sturgeon.

Tickets are $12 for general admission, $10 for seniors, $8 for youth/students and $5 for OSU students. They are available through the OSU Theatre Box Office at 541-737-2784 or online at Contact the box office for DAS accommodations and/or group ticket sales.

The theatre is located at 2901 SW Campus Way, Corvallis.
