CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State University Wind Ensemble will perform its winter term concert at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 10, in the Austin Auditorium at The LaSells Stewart Center, 875 SW 26th St., Corvallis.
The concert, titled “City of Ambition,” includes music by composers Theresa Martin, Walter Saul, John Leszcyznski, Jonathan Newman, Eric Whitacre and OSU Director of Athletic Bands Olin Hannum; and features Jill Pauls, OSU flute instructor and Corvallis-OSU Symphony principal flautist.
Under the direction of Erik Leung, the OSU Wind Ensemble is a 43-member auditioned ensemble featuring the most outstanding brass, woodwind, and percussion players on campus.
The ensemble has toured Japan and has performed at regional conferences including the College Band Directors National Association West/Northwest conference in Reno, Nevada; as well as at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door. OSU students with ID and K-12 youth are admitted free. Corvallis Arts for All discounts apply with a valid SNAP card and are available one hour prior to performance. All seating is general admission.
