For the past 30 years, chemical engineering students have been visiting OSU’s pilot brewery to experience practical applications of what they study in class.

A human-powered submarine, a quarter-scale tractor and a wildfire management simulation video game are among the roughly 200 senior capstone projects that will be on display June 6 at the 2025 College of Engineering Expo.

More than 850 students will take part in the event, which is free and open to the public. The expo will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, June 6 at the CH2M HILL Alumni Center and The LaSells Stewart Center. An awards ceremony and reception will follow.

AI Week 2025 at Oregon State University takes place April 28 to May 2 to celebrate OSU’s commitment to the ethical and innovative use of AI in higher education.

10 Questions With… Jacob Olson, undergraduate in construction engineering management with a minor in business administration, and a member of the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde. Olson is a recipient of the Oregon Tribal Student Grant through the Higher Education Coordinating Commission.
