10 Questions With... Diana Rohlman, associate professor and senior researcher in the Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology

Diana Rohlman is an associate professor and senior researcher in the Department of Environmental and Molecular Toxicology in the College of Agricultural Sciences, and affiliate faculty in the College of Health. She facilitates community-engaged research with an emphasis on increasing environmental health literacy and often works with K-12 students and Indigenous communities. She also uses “Star Trek” to teach science ethics to university students.

What originally brought you to Oregon State?

Every week for the past seven years, teens and tweens from Jackson Street Youth Services have been coming to Langton Hall at Oregon State University to take a break from the shelter and do what kids do best: play.

Where in the world is professor Sunil Khanna? Botswana

Sunil Khanna is a professor and director of the Center for Global Health in Oregon State University’s College of Health. He also leads the center’s Botswana Global Health Initiative, which takes undergraduate and graduate students from across OSU to Botswana every year, where they gain hands-on experience in community health and cross-cultural training.

Fortune Education ranked Oregon State University’s online Master in Public Health program fifth in the nation for 2025, above top contenders like Columbia University and Johns Hopkins University. Directors say OSU’s program, which started in 2018, exemplifies the university’s land grant mission by working to serve communities across Oregon.
