Oregon State awarded four HECC workforce grants
Four Oregon State University proposed projects have been awarded grants by the Higher Education Coordinating Commission (HECC). The Oregon Workforce Ready Grant awards were given to 62 projects across the state that prioritize underserved and marginalized communities, awarding approximately $42 million. Oregon State projects are set to receive more than $3.3 million of that support.

CLA: OSU psych professor’s award highlights progress for disability in psychology
At this year’s American Psychological Association conference in Seattle, OSU professor Kathleen Bogart received the association’s award for contributions toward advancing disability in psychology.
The conference, attended by more than 10,000 people, also included the inaugural disability networking event hosted by the APA and the Disability Advocacy & Research Network, which Bogart co-founded in 2021, for disabled psychologists from a wide range of disciplines to get to know each other.
Kotek selects new OSU Board of Trustees members
Gov. Tina Kotek has selected new members to the Oregon State University Board of Trustees from a pool of volunteer leaders put forward by the OSU Board of Trustees after consultation with President Jayathi Murthy and the OSU Faculty Senate.
The Oregon Legislature is expected to confirm the appointment of the three new trustees and one re-appointment when they meet in September. Members will begin their service once they are confirmed.
