New PRAx season expands to meet audience demand; tickets on sale now

The Patricia Valian Reser Center for the Performing Arts announced its 2025-26 season on April 30, with an increased slate of events and exhibitions to keep its many venues booked and busy.  

Standout events include the new artist-in-residence, percussionist and steel pan musician Andy Akiho, along with several performances and lectures exploring the new season’s theme of “Arts + AI.”

Pet Day returns Saturday, May 3, with a chance for pups to unleash their inner Picassos

Pet Day at OSU’s Carlson College of Veterinary Medicine is happening from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 3, with plenty of activities and educational opportunities for the whole family.

Pet Day is held mostly outdoors at Magruder Hall, 700 SW 30th Street in Corvallis.

Leashed pets are welcome at Pet Day, though they are not permitted inside Magruder per university policy and must be attended by their owners at all times.

International Education Week Nov. 18-22 celebrates OSU’s global impact and community

Each November, Oregon State University marks International Education Week with a full slate of events and receptions to celebrate international students, faculty and staff within the OSU community, as well as the global reach of OSU’s teaching and research efforts.

Oregon’s interminable rainy season is upon us, bringing with it a strong desire to hibernate and avoid going out in the cold and dark. Some bike commuters may be struggling to find the motivation to brave the elements on their way to work or class.

But with the right preparation, the weather need not be a deterrent, says Elza Records, sustainable transportation coordinator with Oregon State University Transportation Services.

Faculty Staff Fitness celebrating 40 years of community building with Nov. 15 event

Faculty Staff Fitness at Oregon State University started with a single class in 1984.

Now, the program offers more than 30 classes, including pickleball, country line dancing, adaptive exercise and — starting winter term — hula fitness. Between 1,000 and 1,500 people participate each term.
