With students gone, campus can feel sleepy and quiet during the summer months — but OSU’s residence halls are anything but.
In summer 2025, University Housing & Dining Services hosted nearly 10,000 guests with 81 groups that came to the Corvallis campus for athletic camps, faith-based camps, academic pursuits and more. With groups staying varying amounts of time, UHDS logged more than 30,000 total guest nights this summer.

From the quiet shade of towering sequoias to the sunny green lawns crisscrossed with walking paths, Oregon State’s Corvallis campus is a thing of beauty.
Two recent projects led by University Facilities, Infrastructure and Operations employees are creating new places to sit on campus. Recently installed benches are updating the look and feel of seating areas and welcoming community members with a range of needs.
The city of Corvallis will be conducting a long-term construction project to replace a water pipeline on SW 35th Street and SW Western Boulevard. Work is slated to begin at the end of March and is expected to continue over the summer. The city plans to begin work on SW Western Boulevard. and then move to SW 35th Street later this spring.
Work is well underway on the north side of the Corvallis campus for the Jen-Hsun Huang and Lori Mills Huang Collaborative Innovation Complex, a three-story, 143,000 square-foot complex which is scheduled to open in late fall 2026.

Cordley Hall has undergone a major transformation to become a state-of-the-art science building. Built in the 1950s, Cordley Hall used to be as dark, cramped and outdated as a mid-century building could be, but after years of upheaval and disruption, both the east and west wings are now suited to the 21st century.
Every fall, Oregon State University landscaping crews fan out across campus with leaf blowers to combat the avalanche of leaves falling from our famously tree-filled campus. Unfortunately, this routine maintenance is noisy and can be disruptive.
